IRS mileage rates
Each trip uses the rate in effect on its date. As of 2026: 70 cents a mile for 2025, 72.5 cents from January 1, 2026 (IRS Notice 2026-10) and 76 cents from July 1, 2026 (IRS Announcement 2026-11). When the IRS sets a new rate, add it here.
Vehicles
Pick one on each trip. Removing a vehicle here doesn't change past trips.
Saved places
Places you drive to often, like your shop or supplier. Tap one to fill in From or To on a trip.
About the categories
Categories follow the expense lines on IRS Schedule C, in plain words. Meals are generally 50% deductible, so the tracker shows what you paid and the deductible part.
If you take the standard mileage rate for a vehicle, you generally can't also deduct that vehicle's gas and repairs. Your tax pro can tell you which method fits.
See all categories
This is a record-keeping aid, not tax advice. Keep your receipts, and check with your tax pro about what you can deduct.
Storage
Browsers give this file about 5 MB. Receipt photos take the most room, about 100 to 250 KB each.
Back up and restore
A backup is one file with every expense, trip, receipt photo and setting. Keep it on a USB drive or in a cloud folder.

Sample data and erasing
Sample data is made up so you can look around. Start clean removes it and keeps anything you added.
