What we fix

Too hot, too cold or too dusty, and how we fix each.

Built for 115° afternoons, monsoon dust, and the four cold mornings a year when everyone remembers the heat pump also does heat.

  • AC repairWarm air, a frozen line, an outdoor unit that hums and won’t start. Most summer calls are a capacitor, a contactor or a clogged drain line, and our vans carry all three.$89 diagnostic, credited to the repair
  • Heating and heat pumpsMost Valley homes heat with a heat pump, which is an AC that can run in reverse. We fix both directions, plus the gas furnaces in older neighborhoods.Fall heat check included in the club
  • New systemsHeat pumps and AC systems sized with a load calculation for your house, not copied off the old unit’s sticker. Most swaps take one day.We check current SRP and APS rebates for you
  • MaintenanceA spring AC tune-up before the first 115° day and a fall heat check before the first cold morning. Coils cleaned, drain flushed, capacitors tested.$129, or two a year in the club
  • Ductwork and airflowLeaky ducts in a 140° attic waste the cold air you paid for. We test, seal and rebalance, and clear out the dust a haboob packs into the returns.Leak test before we seal anything
  • Indoor airBetter filters, media cabinets and purifiers for monsoon dust and allergy season. Simple fixes first; we won’t sell you a gadget the house doesn’t need.Filter plans for dust-storm season

Prices

What heating and air work costs here.

Plenty of companies won’t say a number until a tech is standing in your hallway. These are our usual ranges. After the diagnosis you approve one flat price for your repair, and that’s the price you pay.

After-hours calls add one flat fee, quoted on the phone before anyone drives over. Club members never pay it.

Repair or replace?

Run the $5,000 rule before anyone quotes you a system.

It’s the trade’s own rule of thumb: multiply the system’s age by the repair quote. Under 5,000, fix it. Over 5,000, replacing usually makes more sense. Slide in your numbers and see the math.

Not sure? The install date is usually on the label of the outdoor unit. Text us a photo and we’ll read it.

$400

$100$5,000

Or pick a common repair (sample prices):
How has it been acting?

The $5,000 rule says

Repair it. The math says it’s worth it.

9 yrs × $400equals3,600

9 × $400 is 3,600, under 5,000. A system that’s been reliable until now has earned a repair if the math allows it.

What we’d check first

  • Refrigerant pressures and the temperature split between supply and return
  • The capacitor, contactor and drain line, the usual summer suspects

A rule of thumb, not a diagnosis. Efficiency, rebates and how long you’ll stay in the house matter too, so the estimate puts repair and replace side by side.

The upsell you’re bracing for

A tech who’d rather fix it than sell you one.

Everyone has heard the driveway speech: the whole system is shot, and today’s price expires tonight. Sometimes a system really is done. Usually it’s a part. Here’s how you tell which, with us.

  • Repair and replace, side by sideWhen a new system is worth a look, both prices go on one screen with the $5,000 math. You pick; we don’t push.
  • Photos of the failed partThe swollen capacitor, the burnt contactor, the oily spot where refrigerant leaks. If we say it failed, you see it.
  • Flat price firstOne price for the whole repair, approved by you before any work starts, with the $89 diagnostic already taken off.
  • No commission-only salespeopleThe person diagnosing your system is a tech, not a salesperson on commission. Replacement estimates are free and never expire tonight.

After you call

From warm air to a cool house, in four steps.

  1. 01Call or bookA person in Chandler picks up, or you choose a window online. We start with the breaker and the filter, in case it’s a free fix.
  2. 02A text with your techYour tech’s name, photo and a two-hour arrival window, then another text when they’re 20 minutes out.
  3. 03Options, side by sideDiagnosis with photos, then a flat repair price and, if it’s worth considering, the replacement price right next to it.
  4. 04Fixed, filter changed, temps loggedWe swap the filter, log supply and return temperatures, and text you the comfort report before we leave.

Questions from the hot side of the phone

Quick answers, before you call.

Is a dead AC an emergency?

In July, it can be. If anyone at home is elderly, very young, pregnant or unwell, or the house is climbing past 90°, treat it as one: call us, and get everyone somewhere cool while the tech drives over. Those calls go to the front of the line.

What should I check before I call?

Three free things: the thermostat (set to cool, fresh batteries), the breaker for the outdoor unit, and the filter. If the breaker trips again right away, leave it off and call; resetting it over and over can damage the compressor.

How often should I change the filter here?

Every 30 to 60 days in summer for a standard 1-inch filter, and right after a dust storm. A clogged filter is one of the most common reasons a Valley AC freezes up.

Does the $89 diagnostic come off the repair?

Yes. Go ahead with the repair and the $89 is credited toward it. Decide not to, and $89 is all you owe, with photos of what we found.

Are there rebates on a new system?

Often. SRP and APS run rebates on qualifying high-efficiency heat pumps and AC systems, and the programs change from year to year. We check the current ones for your address and put them right in the estimate.

How long does a replacement take?

Most same-size swaps are done in one day. Moving the equipment, new ductwork or a roof-mounted unit can add a day. You get a firm install date with the written estimate.

Web Rescue · Why this page works

What’s on this page, and why it’s there.

  • Two seasons, two kinds of visitorIn July the visitor is sweating and wants a phone number. In March they’re planning a tune-up or a new system. Call is the orange button in the header, the hero, the close and the phone bar; booking and estimates are the calmer blue second.
  • The urgent door comes first“AC quit” gets its own door with a call button and the free checks to try while the tech drives over. A strange noise or a new-system question books a time instead, so nobody reads the whole page to find their path.
  • Prices, and a club with the mathThe diagnostic, the tune-up and the common repairs are priced up front, and the club is marked as the default with the two-tune-up math beside it. Maintenance plans are an HVAC company’s steadiest income. The numbers here are samples.
  • The upsell, namedEveryone fears the driveway speech about a dead system. The dark band says it out loud and answers it: repair and replace priced side by side, photos of the failed part, a flat price first, no commission-only salespeople.
  • The $5,000 rule, as a tool“Repair or replace?” is the question behind most big HVAC jobs. The tool runs the trade’s own rule of thumb with the math in plain view, then sends a repair to the phone and a likely replacement to the free estimate.
  • Local all the way down115° afternoons, monsoon dust in the returns, R-22 systems, SRP and APS rebates. The comfort report in the hero shows the product, a cool house and a clear bill, before the visitor reads a word about it.
