What we fabricate
Six things we do every week, from the drawing to the pickup.
- Laser cuttingFlat parts, brackets, panels and signs cut clean from a DXF or a sketch. Tight nests keep your material cost down.
- CNC press-brake formingBoxes, pans, channels, angles and enclosures bent to the drawing, with consistent radii piece after piece.
- TIG and MIG weldingSteel, stainless and aluminum. Seam-welded and ground smooth where it shows, tacked where it doesn’t.
- Ductwork and HVAC fittingsCustom plenums, transitions, boots and flashing for installers who can’t wait on a catalog part.
- Architectural and residential metalRange hoods, countertops, backsplashes, gates and trim in copper, stainless and steel.
- Repairs and modificationsBring the broken part. We measure it, remake it, and usually make it stronger than the original.
Materials
What we build with, and how thick.
Typical ranges. If your job needs something outside them, ask; we’ll tell you straight whether it’s a fit or who to call instead.
| Material | Thickness | Common uses | Finishes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mild steel | 26 ga to 1/4" | Brackets, frames, enclosures, gates | Raw, primed, powder coat |
| Stainless 304 / 316 | 26 ga to 3/16" | Kitchens, outdoor, food and medical | #4 brushed, mirror, bead blast |
| Aluminum 5052 / 6061 | .040 to 1/4" | Enclosures, panels, trailers, trim | Mill, brushed, anodize (partner) |
| Copper | 16 to 48 oz | Hoods, flashing, chimney caps, accents | Natural, patina |
| Galvanized | 28 to 16 ga | Ductwork, flashing, outdoor boxes | As-coated |
What about my job?
Size up your job in 60 seconds.
Fabrication has no price list; every job is quoted to the drawing. Pick what you’re making and we’ll tell you what drives the number, what to send, and how long it usually takes.
Your job, roughly
Mild steel, 1–5 pieces, usually 3–5 business days
Typical turnaround once we have a drawing and a deposit. Rush work is possible; ask.
What drives the price
- Material: mild steel at medium (18–14 ga). Strong and economical. Paint or powder coat it.
- Cutting time: the laser is priced by the inch, so simple outlines cost less than lace.
- Bends: each bend is a setup. Fewer, standard-radius bends keep it down.
- Quantity: one-offs carry setup time, so the first piece costs the most.
Send us this and you’ll have a number tomorrow
- A drawing, a sketch with dimensions, or a photo of the old part next to a tape measure.
- Material and thickness if you know it. If not, say what the part has to do and we’ll choose.
- When you need it, and whether you’ll pick up or want delivery.
The part you’re worried about
Measured twice. Cut once. Then checked again before you drive over.
Every fabricator says “quality.” Here’s what it looks like on our floor.
- First-article inspectionThe first piece of every job is measured against the drawing before the rest run. The numbers are on your ticket.
- Tolerance on the quoteYour quote names the tolerance we’re holding, so “close enough” is decided before we cut, not after.
- Photos before pickupYou see the finished piece on your phone before you leave the job site to get it.
- Not to the drawing? We remake it.At our cost. If the drawing was the problem, we tell you what we saw and quote the fix straight.
How a job runs
Four steps. No surprises.
- 01Send a drawing or a photoA CAD file, a napkin sketch with dimensions, or a photo of the old part next to a tape. Text, email or the form below.
- 02Quote by the next business dayA fabricator prices it, not a form. You get a number, a turnaround and anything we need you to confirm.
- 03We build it and check itFirst piece measured against the drawing before the rest run. Photos sent before pickup.
- 04Pick up or we deliverPick up at the shop, or Valley-wide delivery for larger pieces and runs.

FAB is a family shop. No sales desk, no call center. When you call, you reach someone who has run the brake and knows what your part needs. [FAB’s story, the family behind it and a photo of the crew go here.]

Questions we get every week
Before you send the drawing.
Do you take one-off jobs, or only production work?
Both. A single bracket, a one-of-a-kind range hood, or a run of 500 enclosures. One-offs carry setup time, so the first piece costs the most; the quote says so up front.
I don’t have a drawing. Can you still quote it?
Yes. A sketch with dimensions or a photo of the part next to a tape measure is enough to start. For anything with tight fits we’ll confirm the critical dimensions before cutting.
What file types do you accept?
DXF and DWG are best for cutting. STEP for formed parts. PDF drawings, photos and sketches work too; we redraw them and send you the file to approve.
How fast can you turn a job around?
Most one-offs in three to five business days once we have a drawing and deposit. Runs and finished parts take longer. If you’re down because of a broken part, say so; rush slots exist.
Do you powder coat or anodize?
Finishing runs through a partner shop we’ve used for years. We handle the handoff and the schedule, so you deal with one invoice and one phone number.
What if the part doesn’t fit?
If it isn’t to the drawing we approved together, we remake it at our cost. If the drawing was off, we’ll tell you what we saw and quote the fix straight.

Web Rescue · Why this page works
What’s on this page, and why it’s there.
- One action, everywhere“Get a free quote” is in the header, the hero, after the tool, after the proof, and in a thumb-reachable bar on phones. The second action, calling, is always the quieter one.
- Three doors in the heroA repair, a production run and a custom home piece are three different buyers. Each gets its own door so nobody reads the whole page to find theirs.
- The fear, namedFabrication buyers worry the part comes back wrong or late. The dark section says it out loud and answers it with first-article inspection, photos and a remake promise.
- A tool instead of a price listFabrication has no price list, so the tool explains what drives the number, what to send, and the usual turnaround. The visitor leaves with a plan, and a button.
- Built for the phone in a work truckBig type, tap-to-call, a six-field form that asks for the job before the name, and no PDFs. Montserrat and Inter, two fonts, loaded once.
- Honest placeholdersReviews, the phone number and the address are marked as samples. Nothing about FAB is invented; the real numbers drop in when the site goes live.
