Downtown Mesa · Wood-fired Sonoran kitchen
Mesquite& Masa
Masa ground every morning. Meat cooked over mesquite every night.
Tortillas pressed to order from corn we cook and grind in house, and steaks, chicken and whole fish over real mesquite coals. Not a gas grill with a box of wood chips.

Before you come in
Everything gluten-free starts with corn.
Masa is corn cooked with lime, then ground. No flour, no fillers. So most of this menu is gluten-free by birth, not by substitution. Here’s the rest of what people ask before their first visit.
- Allergies handled at the passTell your server. The ticket gets flagged, and Chef [Name] or the sous chef checks the plate before it leaves the kitchen.
- Celiac? One honest caveatCorn tortillas have their own comal, but the fryer is shared with the churros. Skip the chips and we’ll bring warm tortillas instead.
- Walk-ins sit at the barFirst come, first served, with the full menu. Usually the shortest wait in the building.
- Tables held 15 minutesRunning late? Call and we’ll hold it. No call after 15 minutes and the table goes to the next party.

Asked at the host stand every night
Before you ask.
Do I need a reservation?
On Friday and Saturday it helps. The bar is always walk-in with the full menu, and on weeknights there’s usually a table if you just show up.
Is the menu really gluten-free?
Everything made from our corn masa is, and that’s most of it. Flour tortillas, churros and beer aren’t. Celiac guests: tell your server, skip the chips (the fryer is shared), and we’ll flag your ticket.
What about vegetarians and vegans?
Vegetarian dishes are marked V, including a whole grilled cauliflower that holds its own. Vegan: the pot beans, rice, nopales and salsas are, and the kitchen will adjust most vegetable tacos if you ask.
Can I bring a big group?
Up to 6 can request a table online. For 7 or more, call or use the form and we’ll set a menu so everyone eats at the same time. Bigger than 20? That’s an event.
How does pickup work?
Call in your order and it’s ready in about 25 minutes, on the shelf by the host stand with your name on it. Tortillas are packed separately so they arrive soft, not soggy.
Are kids welcome?
Very. High chairs, a short kids’ plate (quesadilla, rice and beans), and nobody minds a little noise before 8.
Reserve a table
Pick a night. We’ll save the table.
Rather just talk?
(480) 555-0170The host stand picks up from 3 pm, Tuesday through Sunday. For a table tonight, calling is fastest.
Parties of 7 or more, and anything with a cake involved: call, and we’ll plan it with you.

Pull up a chair. The coals are already lit.
Web Rescue · Why this page works
What’s on this page, and why it’s there.
- A real menu, not a PDFThe menu is HTML text with prices and dietary tags. It zooms on a phone, Google can read it, and changing a price is a two-minute edit instead of a redesign.
- Tonight, in the first screenThe questions people actually have are “are they open?” and “can I get in?”. The hero answers both before any scrolling: open now, when the kitchen closes, and the tables left.
- Two ways to eat, two buttonsReserving and ordering pickup are different nights out. Both buttons sit in the hero and in a thumb-reachable bar on phones, with reserve as the stronger one.
- Answers before the questionGluten-free, celiac, walk-ins and late arrivals are what people call to ask. The dark band answers them honestly, including the shared fryer, which earns more trust than a perfect claim.
- A picker that orders like a server“What should I order?” reads the same menu data as the page, so it can never suggest a dish that isn’t on the menu, at a price that isn’t on the menu.
- Dark, big type, honest placeholdersRestaurants sell with photos, and until the shoot happens the page leans on huge type and a dark palette. The dashed frames show exactly where the real food photos go.
On a real site, this homepage is page one.
A sample is only the homepage. A client site built from it adds these pages, and the homepage links to each one.
- Online orderingConnected to the restaurant’s POS so pickup orders print in the kitchen and the menu stays in sync.
- ReservationsLinked to the restaurant’s booking system, with the same 15-minute hold and large-party rules.
- Private events and cateringPackages, room photos, sample menus and an inquiry form that asks the right questions up front.
- Gift cardsSold online, delivered by email. The easiest add-on revenue a restaurant has.
- Seasonal and specials pageWhat’s on the grill this week, easy for the staff to update from a phone.
- Business markup for GoogleRestaurant schema with hours, menu and reservations link. Left off this sample on purpose, because the business is fictional.
