Free tool · Paperwork that looks pro

Get the extra work signed first.

When the job changes, put it on paper before you do the work. Price the change by labor, materials, equipment and subs, add overhead and profit, show the new contract total and the schedule, and get both signatures.

  • Overhead is added to your costs first. Profit is figured on cost plus overhead.
  • The new contract total is the original price, plus changes already approved, plus this one.
  • Don’t start the extra work until you both sign. A verbal yes is hard to collect on.
  • This is a template, not legal advice. Your contract or your state may set other rules for changes.
  • Everything runs in your browser. Nothing you type is sent to us or anyone else.
